This is an aftermarket intake boot to be able to use an oversized carb on your blaster and still use factory airbox/air filter/rear fender uncut.
Size: Large Carb
Fits: 33mm+ carbs
These are 3D printed rubber. Tested and approved.
In 2 piece sections. You connect the 2 pieces and they lock in together. It will bolt in place as the factory boot does and onto the carb as the factory would. Oversized carbs do not fit the factory intake boot which is why this is needed.
The benefit over these is that you do not have to permanently hack up your plastics and can also use factory style air filter.
This is essentially a bolt on replacement part without needing modifications, but it’s possible you may run into needing to make some adjustments.
To install:
Remove rear fender.
Remove factory air filter cage.
Unbolt factory under ring to remove inner ring and boot.
You may find it easier to shave out some of the fender area to allow clearance for the new intake.
To do this, take just the inner snd outer ring and loosely hold them together on the fender. From underneath, trace the outer ring. Then cut off the tracing line. This will allow extra room but not affect anything even if you went back to factory boot.
Now you reinstall as you removed.
If you are paranoid like me, it wouldn’t hurt to add a sealer under the new boot and under the inner ring.
Make sure your inner ring fully inserts into the new boot (there are pegs that insert threw with the bolts attatched)
The airbox is sealed from inside, outside is just to secure.
Now it is a good idea to attach the carb adapter while the fender is off, and also a good idea to add a sealer inside the lock. RTV or Case Bond would be fine, just make sure you fully attach the fender and carb to get everything aligned before it cures. They are 2 piece only for manufacturing and sizing, once installed, they can stay permanently attached as 1 piece boot
